SoftMap Technologies Inc., Canadian developer
of GIS software, announces that it offers on its website
www.softmaptech.com
the possibility to buy online its new SoftMap
GPS, add-in to SoftMap Plus allowing to view and
edit the maps of the consumer products SoftMap sold
at more than 50 000 copies throughout Canada. SoftMap
GPS will manage signals from all GPS receivers.
SoftMap
GPS is an add-in powered by FUGAWIâ that will
work with all SoftMap products because it will upgrade
all versions of SoftMap Plus to the Version 4.2. It
will be sold exclusively on our Website via download.
SoftMap
GPS supports all protocols like NMEA, Garmin, Lowrence
and Magellan that represent the great majority of receivers
used by outdoors fan and GIS professionals. The functions
allow for import, export and editing of tracks, waypoints
and routes. It can be used before, during and after
your trip.
The GPS module will be included free of charge in the
professional GIS software SoftMap Pro Version 4.5 coming
in September. SoftMap
GPS will also be an add-in to SoftMap Lite, the
freeware that will be available in the Fall.
