January Promotion extended through the end of February

Many of you have benefited from the 20% discount on the software SoftMap 5 and SoftMap Pro 5. Those who didn’t have the time or the chance to benefit from the offer now have the opportunity to do so; the promotion will be extended until the end of February!

Reminder for version 4 users: Since January 1st, versions 4 of the software are no longer supported. Take the opportunity to upgrade to version 5.

ABC of layers

When a graphical element is added in SoftMap 5, it is automatically placed on a layer. SoftMap 5 comes with five layers* on which you can add your personal information. A layer is like a sheet of paper (or an acetate) allowing you to group elements together. Elements are always added to the active layer. There can be only one active layer at a time, the one that appears in bold in the session window.

Activate a layer

To add an element to a layer, you must first activate the layer. To activate a layer, right click on the layer’s name and select the option Active.

Change color of the lines

Visual aspects of the lines depend on the properties of the layer on which they are. To modify layer properties, right click on the layer’s name and choose Properties. So, if you want lines of different colors, you have to use several layers!

* SoftMap Pro 5 allows creation of new layers.
