The software SoftMap
Plus version 4 was the viewer of all the cartographic
products developed and packaged by SoftMap in the
topo20, topo50, topo250 Series and the Guides. The
new generation of SoftMap Plus is called SoftMap
5. This software is not an update to version
4 but a new software that will install besides previous
versions on your computer. It will enable you to
restore your version 4 data and to include them
in SoftMap 5. All future developments will be done
in SoftMap 5. The corrections, modifications and
new functions will not be available in the version
4.
SoftMap GPS,
previously sold as an add-in to SoftMap Plus version
4, will now be included in SoftMap 5. The GPS module
as evolved and from now on, it will be necessary
to install SoftMap 5 to benefit from the GPS tools.
No key will be sold to unlock SoftMap GPS in SoftMap
Plus version 4. However, it is good to know that
SoftMap 5 will be sold at a lesser price than the
GPS registration key or CD-ROM version: $49.95
with TopoWeb
– Canada or $59.95 with
TopoWeb Quebec.
